A little bit about me
Hi ya'll, my name is Leena Rae. I was born in May, 1998 in New Jersey. I have been singing and writing songs for as long as I can remember. Music has and forever will be my passion. Any support on this journey means the world to me, and at the very least, I hope my music makes you feel something. Because we all deserve to feel—whatever that feeling may be.
Growing up, I struggled to find my voice. The only way I knew how to express myself was by writing things down. In those words, I found more than just comfort and safety—I found power. Power to articulate my thoughts in a way my 'speaking' voice never could.
For me, music is therapy. Singing is therapy. Writing about my experiences—the good and the bad—and sharing them with the world, if I’m lucky enough, is my therapy.
Every song I write tells you a story from my life. This is me, opening myself up to the world, so that nobody ever feels alone. We all have our own story, but sometimes its comforting to know that not all of our chapters are so different after all.
